World leading restaurant, travel and accommodation site TRIPADVISOR.COM ranks Pipers by the Lake as the number one restaurant in Ballarat, and with the following reviews no wonder. 
 

I stumbled upon Pipers when visiting the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. The lunch was excellent, great value and quality and the staff very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my time in Ballarat and Pipers was a special surprise to my day.

Nice atmosphere and a good place to catch up with friends and lovely food. Staff accommodated for 3 mums with prams! A spacious venue with both indoor and outdoor tables.

Went on week ends and week days excellent food and service the mon-fri lunch was $15 with a glass of house wind or soft drink was a real value for money good portion great presentation and more that 6 meal variety to choose from. I will go again and recommend to every one.

I love the atmosphere of Pipers & it has lovely views of the lake. The restaurant is nice and spacious & can seat large groups comfortably. The food is delicious! It can be a bit pricey but I think it's well worth it.

First of all, they have friendly and young staff, they make me cheerful.

Even though I occupy the place for long time with a cup of coffee, they never interrupt me making me all the time comfortable.

Nice food and good flavor coffee with friends and family on weekends.

I love going here, to sit and quaff whilst watching the view of Lake Wendouree. The menu is always interesting and they have a great wine list to choose from. The service is efficient and friendly, and the restaurant area is always clean.
